The Quartet began its course with Lavers debut recording entitled 'Stretch', comprising 8 original peices. This was followed by a Jazz Services sponsored tour of venues in the U.K.

In 2006 the group received arts council sponsorship which enabled them to tour and record a second album,'Small Creature' This album was released on the London based label '33 Records'.

The band are seen here playing at Manchester's infamous 'Matt and Phreds' jazz club in May 2008 as part of a two week U.K tour. The group featured Laurent Robin on drums, Jamil Sheriff on piano and Jon Thorne on double bass. After performing live together they recorded a third album 'Child's eye' (Koosh Records) which featured special guests Mark chandler on flugel horn and Bill Laurence on fender rhodes.
